The American Red Cross in Colorado wanted to increase donations, sales revenue, and volunteers by increasing its visibility in the community. When Jim took over as Chief Communication Officer, the Red Cross ranked 6th in the amount of press hits it received compared to other nonprofits. Through developing relationships, good stories, and a solid pitch, they became the most publicized non-profit in Colorado, garnering 350+ press hits in three months, 5x more than any other non-profit.
